Think about a kindergarten takes us on a journey to our first memories, the first colors we see, the first smells, the first tact, and the first pay outside our home. It is the place where we interact, with other kids like us, in our scale and or language.
The project will define the way the place will set up the atmosphere where these experiences will take place, playing with two dualities and one playground. These two dualities are defined by how the program and volumes are related, proposing two volumes, “the kid’s space” and “the community space”.
We propose to keep the existent “L” Building, renovating it in order to host the administration and the kitchen but also creating two community classrooms to be used by the family members who will work there. The main idea is to make a school which can be used by all the community to develop their social bound and skills such as cooking courses or others.
We propose to build the new building with a modular wood structure, with sliding wood panels to help open the space to the outdoor, and a simple big roof to create shadows and tropical comfort.
